This live map shows real high- and low-pressure systems on their journey across the globe. Give them a name and become a chronicler of the weather.
How it worksEach marker (H/L) is an active pressure system. Tap it for details and its track.
Drag the timeline below or hit play to replay the next 72 hours.
Enter your desired name above to claim the identity of an upcoming system.
The longest-lasting printing systems of all time.
We do not sell rights to nature – for nature is free. We offer you the opportunity to give pressure systems an identity that lasts forever.
Every day, massive formations of air and pressure arise above our heads. They travel across continents, bringing rain or sunshine, and finally dissolve in silence in the atmosphere. Without us, they would remain nameless statistics.
With an Airdentity™, you transform from a mere observer into a namesake. Become a chronicler of these meteorological events! You write the life story of a high or low-pressure system and record its journey as a biographical chronicle in our global archive.
Our Promise: We preserve the history that the weather writes.
As soon as you initialize an Airdentity, we place your chosen first name on our Waiting List of Identities. Now, we look at the maps together.
The atmosphere determines the timing. As soon as a pressure system forms that passes our strict Quality Gate, the journey begins.
The Airdentity Quality Gate: To ensure a dignified biography, we only bestow identities upon systems with a forecasted lifespan of at least 36 hours. We look for characters, not fleeting moments.
An Airdentity is not a product for the moment. It is an entry in the Archive of Legends. Even if the system dissolves after days or weeks, its biography remains:
To maintain the dignity of the atmospheric chronicle, the following rules apply:
Note on Cancellation: Your right of withdrawal expires according to the Chronicler’s Code the moment the identity is bestowed and the system has been initialized on the live map.

Airdentity / Jan SchenkAutomated, broadcast-ready weather forecast maps delivered to your newsroom via RSS. No meteorologist required.
Baroly delivers production-ready pressure weather maps directly into your publishing workflow. Every map shows isobars, high- and low-pressure systems, coastlines, and country borders — styled, labeled, and localized for your audience.
Each country has its own RSS feed. The feed URL follows a simple pattern:
https://data.airdentity.com/rss/{country_code}/feed.xmlFor example, the feed for Germany:
https://data.airdentity.com/rss/deu/feed.xmlThe feed is standard RSS 2.0 with the media: namespace (Media RSS). Each <item> represents one forecast date and contains:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
<title> | Forecast title with country name and date |
<pubDate> | Publication timestamp (RFC 822) |
<description> | HTML block with embedded image previews |
<enclosure> | Primary image URL (JPEG) |
<media:content> | All map images with dimensions and titles |
Every forecast hour is rendered in two formats, optimized for the most common editorial use cases:
Website headers, TV broadcasts, social media posts, video overlays
Instagram Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, mobile-first displays
You can also access map images directly without parsing the RSS feed:
# Landscape (16:9)
https://data.airdentity.com/rss/{country_code}/16_9/{forecast_hour}.jpg
# Portrait (9:16)
https://data.airdentity.com/rss/{country_code}/9_16/{forecast_hour}.jpg
# Example: Germany, tomorrow, portrait
https://data.airdentity.com/rss/deu/9_16/24.jpgAll images are delivered as JPEG at 120 DPI — sharp enough for print use and optimized for fast web delivery.
Maps are available for European countries and beyond. Each map is labeled in the country's primary language.
| Country | Code | Language | Example Label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany | deu | German | MORGEN |
| Austria | aut | German | MORGEN |
| Switzerland | che | German | MORGEN |
| France | fra | French | DEMAIN |
| Spain | esp | Spanish | MAÑANA |
| Italy | ita | Italian | DOMANI |
| Netherlands | nld | Dutch | MORGEN |
| Belgium | bel | Dutch | MORGEN |
| United Kingdom | gbr | English | TOMORROW |
| Ireland | irl | English | TOMORROW |
| United States | usa | English | TOMORROW |
Need a country not listed here? Get in touch — we can add new regions on request.
Each update delivers four maps covering the next three days:
| Forecast Hour | File | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
0 | 0.jpg | Current conditions (analysis) |
24 | 24.jpg | Tomorrow (+24 hours) |
48 | 48.jpg | Day after tomorrow (+48 hours) |
72 | 72.jpg | 3 days ahead (+72 hours) |
Use any RSS-to-post plugin (e.g., WP RSS Aggregator or Jetvents) to automatically publish weather maps as posts or sidebar widgets. The <media:content> elements provide image URLs with dimensions, making automated layout straightforward.
Connect the RSS feed to tools like Zapier, Make (Integromat), or Buffer:
<enclosure> URL (16:9) or parse <media:content> for the 9:16 story formatFor broadcast workflows, download the 16:9 images directly via their URL and overlay them in your graphics system. The images have a transparent-friendly design that works well as lower-third overlays or full-screen weather segments.
Beyond the rendered maps, Baroly provides machine-readable data for custom visualizations and data journalism.
https://data.airdentity.com/media/global/isobars.geojsonContains pressure contour lines as GeoJSON LineString features. Each feature includes a pressure property in hPa. Use this to build interactive maps with Mapbox, Leaflet, or D3.js.

The maps include a small Airdentity watermark. Licensed media partners may request clean versions. Contact us for details.
Maps are rendered in Plate Carrée (equirectangular) projection, cropped to each country's bounding box with appropriate padding.
The standard output is 1920Ă—1080 (16:9) and 1080Ă—1920 (9:16) at 120 DPI. Custom resolutions are available for enterprise partners.
The maps are generated from numerical weather prediction model output (sea-level pressure fields). The data is processed with Gaussian smoothing for clean isobar rendering.
The RSS feed and direct image/data URLs cover most use cases. If you need a REST API with JSON responses, webhook notifications, or custom parameters, reach out to discuss enterprise options.
